Conversation in Back Seat

"Mom, the subs don't know anything about us.  They don't even know who we are.  They don't know anything about how we are," comments my son.
"That's true," I say.  "That's why you sometimes have to speak up for yourself and explain what you need or how you usually work best.  You can do it politely and respectfully."
His kindergartener sister:  "No.  We don't have to do that in our class because we wear name tags."
He answers:  "That doesn't make any sense because your name doesn't tell them anything about your personality."
She answers:  "Right, but then we just act the way we always do."
